Just me all by my lonesome for now. So anyways, here's me back at the Chicago Underground Loft in '04 doing some old radiant darling tunes I still do (thanks to Jim Pfeiffer for the video):
And yes it was the humidity that made my do look like a mullet....
Influences
not really influences per se, but some stuff I've been enjoying as of late:
okay, so I just put the more finalized versions (non-mastered) of 3 tunes - 1 new one (Vegas Moon). Someone stop me before I put all the tunes up before releasing the full album! I can't help it, I'm too damn impatient!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Done at Maestro-matic Productions, Produced/Recorded/Mixed by Mark Messing with Sam Johnson - Trumpet, Mark Messing - Sax, Electric Guitar - Jeff Thomas, Violin (Up down Charmed and Archaeologist) - Greg Hirte, Fiddle/Ukulele (Vegas Moon) - Jim Becker, Drums/Percussion - Ben Gray, Acoustic Bass - Marc Piane, Ami on vocals/acoustic guitar/accordion ......................................................................................................................The rest of the recordings are still in the works. You can hear more complete radiant darling (my old band) tunes from the album Cryptomnesia at www.myspace.com/radi
i just let out a hearty little chuckle when i read your headline quote... good stuff. "don't freakin' mess with me..." you know, angus young from AC/DC was once walking to a local pub where he was slotted to perform a gig, and was confronted by some muggers... you know what he did? he wielded his gibson sg and mollywhopped the hell out of 'em. his guitar remained in tact and angus went on to perform his gig that night, in the tradition of a true badass rockstar. i think you could make that acoustic work for ya. i bet you could give people some pretty mean splinters with that thing.
I just sent you a message that is too hot for MySpace, but I want the world to know that I love the new tracks and you really cut it up fresh this time! You are officially a Rockstar. Not a rock star. Rockstar, one word, with a capital "R." You've been endowed with the the official title. You are the numbah one stunnah.
Of course you are right... the old hermit in me is always apprehensive of crowds, but the ageless creator within is overjoyed to be part of this marvelous city jungle we share. Thanks!
Hi! Yes, I have made it back in one piece. No shows lined up right now--just trying to get settled in--but I will definitely let you know. In the meantime, I have both your shows on my calendar! I look forward to meeting you.
the universe must be off or something. I'll adjust my planetary internal clock. Hell yes I can have visitors. I have a job at a metal shop as a welder but I get done at five and i have weekends off. So please save me from the solitude!
