Stage 1 Showcase
These relentless artists start the show with their backs to the audience, a legendary disdain for one’s audience that brings a tear to my eye, they’re keeping the dream alive. The crowd eats it up, like submissive slaves asking for more as Amityville dominate them track by track. This Aylesbury style horror story (check your American history for a clue) make lions look like kittens with rolling bass drums that sound like thunder, and the thrash of the guitarists and lead singer Kris turn Amityville into rock legends, if only for a little while. With a firm grip on the dream Amityville make no surrender.
Influences
Annihilator, Testament, Metallica, Trivium, Children Of Bodom, Exodus, Sacred Riech, Iron Maiden, In Flames, Slayer and Death
Formed in 2006 from Aylesbury in the U.K by founding members Kris Willingham and Terry Sharpe.
Amityville pack a fearsome punch of old school and newer thrash metal combined with heavy vocals, influenced by the likes of Exodus, In Flames, Testament and Children Of Bodom.
Along the way Amityville have played with some great bands such as, Evil Scarecrow, Internal Conflict, Cinders Fall, Outcryfire, Eastern Front and many others.
The first demo which Amityville recorded was at the end of 2006 called ‘Terror creeping up on you’ which isn’t really thrash metal, just more straight up metal, with a commercial edge.
The second demo which is the latest one out ‘The Nightmare Begins’ has definitely enhanced and enabled Amityville to go further with things than ever before.
2009 definitely promises to be a very good year for Amityville having already played at the surface unsigned festival and a possible semi-final chance in the “battle for Bloodstock” to play at the mighty 2009 Bloodstock festival.

Described as: 'like Soulfly if Trent Reznor were part of the band,' their debut album "There's No Profit in Truth", mixes the pent up frustration of acts such as Rage Against The Machine with the raging, highly charged riffs of classic Machine Head. Good, honest, politically aware and highly charged Metal at its best...

Put together the first music video for one of the songs, that being for the song "Eel Marsh House", which is based on the movie "The Woman In Black". Wasn't sure to name it that instead of 'Eel Marsh..." ...Eel Marsh House being where the woman in black 'lived', and now haunts it. Though, she seems to haunt the general area of the village as well as the House. If anyone catches her gaze, looks into her eyes....a child will die, usually from the family of the person unfortunate to look at her. As you see what happens to the story's main character at the end.
Hope you like it, that's about all for now, Cheers! Rob
