Hi we’re Amlder, a bi-lingual four-piece band living in Carmarthenshire. We began as a three piece over two years ago. The Line up consisted of Jay Ramsurrun (lead guitar and vocals), Adam Gerber (bass), and Sam Owen (Drums). Amlder’s original influences came from modern punk rock bands, which we often combined with the heavy guitar parts. Our style was often found to be too hard to perform live; as a result we decided to audition for a second guitarist, which turned out to be Arwyn Davies, who is now the lead vocalist. With this new line up the band has managed to gain far more recognition. Achievements include reaching the final of the BBC C2 Battle of the bands and winning the ‘Cymdeithas yr Iaith’ battle of the bands. The band has since become recognised throughout Wales, with various TV Performances and an C2 Session. The bands music has become more effective, and we continue to experiment with it. We continue to gig and enjoy our time as a band.
