About me:

Make Shell come clean

Shell's damaging practices are stripping the people in the Niger Delta of their human rights and keeping them in poverty.

Oil spills, gas flaring and pollution are all having a devastating impact on the land and rivers these communities depend upon. This has to change.

We need your help to improve the human rights situation in the Niger Delta. It’s your voice that Shell will listen to. Do your bit.

Did you see the Channel 4 Dispatches programme about Israelis lobbying our Parliament with cheque books to hand ? Small wonder no one can get a politician to help with the atrocities in Gaza. Whenever a government is corrupt they should be banned from lobbying, Politicians must be transparent in dealing with the money they take from these people. Just like their expenses, it should be scrutinised for deals being done which are not good for the people, it is the only way to stop it. If, as we are to believe that David Cameron will be our next PM., we can rest assured the Palestinians will continue to suffer, even the Lib Dems have been lobbyed. There will no chance if the Labour Party miraculously win again either. It is up to us the people of Britain to contact our parliament and complain about the obvious bias and the money given to the Palestinians who need it far more than David Cameron and Co.
I also want more information to circulate about the Diego Garcia Islanders, thrown off their island by the Labour Party stallwarts Denis Healey and Harold Wilson, and still not been properly acted upon by current LP MP's, notably Bill Rammell, who states that we don't have the money to compensate the islanders now living in poverty in Mauritius, but can give billions to banks to squander without recourse.
    Regards
    Pat

    A Drop of Water

    Photobucket

A Zen master named Gisan asked a young student to bring him a pail of water to cool his bath.

The student brought the water and, after cooling the bath, threw on to the ground the little that was left over.

"You dunce!" the master scolded him. "Why didn't you give the rest of the water to the plants? What right have you to waste even a drop of water in this temple?"

The young student attained Zen in that instant. He changed his name to Tekisui, which means 'a drop of water'.

    my New Friend,
sending you much peace, love and joy!

    with gratitude and respect
    Johann

    Hello

For those interested in animal rights/welfare fiction, please have a look to my novel “The Demon’s Trial”. The process of writing it is what made me a vegan, by the way.

Here is the link to the publisher:

    The Demon's Trial

You can of course find it in any bookshop, including Amazon.com, where you can see some reviews:

    The Demon's Trial

If you ever read it, I would be very interested in having your thoughts about it.

     Thank you
