Hello! Thank you for checking us out! Here are some of the pieces that make up Among the Ashes: We are still trying to figure this life out. We are searching. We are trying to have fun. We love to play music, even when we want to slightly maim or kill each other. We love eachother. We hope to tour the U.S. in the next year (baby steps, baby steps...). We believe that Jesus is God, and he came to earth to make us perfect for Himself by learning what it's like to be human, and recieving our punishment for our rebellion. We believe He now serves as a mediator and best friend to both us and Himself (How cool is that?). We believe God is for you and cares about your heart, soul, body and mind. We believe in the power of music and it's aility to challenge, encourage, and empower.
We believe that God offers an incredible gift of communication through His Son, Jesus. How deep and powerful an opportunity to have intimate audiance with the Superme Authority and Creator of everything! We hope that in striving to create excellent music as an offering of love and devotion to God - as well as a tool of encouragement and worship - that we can fall more in love with Him who loved us first. But more importantly, to wrestle with this heart that we might express love to our God.
Among The Ashes is a rock band from Medford, Oregon. We are just four kids who love Jesus, and love worshiping Him. There are plenty of bands out there harder than us, but we play our shows with passion and intensity. We love Jesus because of everything that He has done for us, and we long to tell people about Him. Please check us out and write us. We need all the prayer we can get, and we hope to see you at a show!
