By one dark night of July 2008 after long discussions Xavargh (bass and guitars) and Styxx (guitar) decided to create a group of black metal, the first pieces such as "wind from the northern empire" and " black moon one the shield" arrived quickly, influenced by the black Norwegian metal (Immortal, old Darkthrone, Dark Funeral, Marduk, Gorgoroth).
At the beginning only instrumental, Styxx put at vocal to supplement the titles.
Amonthoth had been born! Arrived then d' other pieces and after a few months Xavargh and Styxx decided to make a first demo 4 titles which there after became an album 10 titles entitled " en vind av sorg".
Amonthoth currently repeats in the depths of its tomb can be to leave soon in the area.
