
AMP is a series of cross- arts interaction evenings brought to you by the Contemporary Music Centre. For three Tuesday evenings throughout the month of May in the informal setting of Pravda at the Ha’penny Bridge, composers, performers and artists of all disciplines will have a chance to interact, discuss collaboration and learn about eachother’s practice and projects, with speakers on each night.
Contemporary Music Centre are proud to host the last night of AMP on Thursday 5th June at 7.30pm, where we will have screenings and performances with a drinks reception in our courtyard.
AMP 1: Music & the Visual Arts

Anthony Kelly, composer and David Stalling, artist, AudioVisual Collaborators
George Higgs, composer, will also speak about his latest collaborative project, The Coin Operated Vibrating Video Juke Bed- an installation for vibrations, video and sound using electronics, percussion and cello.

AMP 2: Music & Multimedia
Tuesday 20th May 7.30pm PRAVDA
Tim Redfern, New Media artist, will speak about his latest project which deals with programming generative graphic systems and their applications in performance and installation. He has also collaborated on installations and image work for Roger Doyle and the DEAF festival.
Linda Buckley, composer, currently involved in writing a documentary soundtrack, and has also collaborated with projects such as 'if() then() else()', a multimedia performance that combined traditional disciplines such as music, film and theatre, with technologies such as real-time video processing and multi-channel sound distribution.

AMP 3: Music & The Stage

Jurgen Simpson, composer & Mary Wycherly, dancer, speak about their collaboration Receiving Systems, derived from a series of studies implementing composed structures and real-time interaction between sound and movement and video, recently debuted at the Dublin Dance Festival.
Jo Mangan, Artistic Director of The Performance Corporation.
She has directed award-winning theatre productions worldwide,
directed for Film and TV, and collaborated with Lyric FM.
The Performance Corporation's latest initiative is The SPACE
Programme, which is aimed at fostering the careers and creativity
of artists from all artistic disciplines - from choreographers,
writers and actors, to software designers, musicians and sculptors.

AMP 4: Art & Music Party

The last night of AMP- A Meeting Place will take place in Contemporary Music Centre (http://www.cmc.ie/about/map.html) in Temple Bar this Thursday, June 5th, 7.30pm.
The cross- arts collaborative evening will have live electronics from Somadrone (thats Neil from the Redneck Manifesto), a site-specific installation by artist Helen Horgan, courtyard wine reception and a screening room upstairs in the library, where art and music collaborative works will be showcased.
