The goal of AMP Digital Media is to get your music online quickly and easily, without all the bureaucracy found at some of the larger digital aggregation companies.
AMP was founded by two record company people who realized, in dealing with some of the major digital stores, that many digital aggregation companies are slow to meet the digital needs of online music stores. The result: unnecessary delays in getting your music online. With over 25 years of combined experience in the areas of digital music distribution, marketing, finance and technology, AMP was created to correct this problem.
At AMP, we are ready to assist you and work with you to best serve your interests and the interests of your music. We created our client asset management system with you in mind, to help you understand the process of digital music sales and make it easy for you to get your music into digital music stores (iTunes, eMusic and several others) fast!
Who we are.
Sean McGoldrick - Born and bred in
Brooklyn, Sean has been in the music business for nearly two decades. After earning a B.A. from the University of Michigan, Sean spent 3 years as an analyst at Bear Stearns & Co., honing his financial skills before turning to his true goal: a career in the music industry.
Sean started his music business career as an intern at Com3, a small Brooklyn indie label, before moving to Roadrunner Records. Hired as the company accountant in 1990, Sean was promoted to Controller in 1993, then Director of Information Technology (IT) in 2000. As head of Roadrunner’s IT department, Sean helped build and implement Roadrunner's in-house digital distribution system, used to deliver music to over 20 different providers.
In addition to co-founding and running AMP, Sean is a consultant to the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM).
Christian Misutka - After earning a B.A. in accounting from Pennsylvania State University, Christian moved to New York City to start his music career. Being an avid fan of music (and all aspects thereof) his goal was to grow as a musician while building a career on the business side of the industry.
Christian got his start in the music industry working for the MTV and VH1 studio libraries, learning all there is to know about the storage, transfer, duplication and delivery of the “old media” (that being VHS, Beta, Digi-Beta, etc.). After a year he moved on to Roadrunner Records to expand his horizons.
Originally hired for his accounting background, Christian started in the finance department. He went on to run Roadrunner’s production and IT departments before settling in as Director of New Media in
2002. As head of New Media, Christian was responsible for creating and marketing the label’s and artists’ web sites; creating and implementing online marketing plans for all releases; marketing and reporting all digital sales; and bringing in new business. During this time, Christian was also a member of New York’s Independent New Media Professionals Association.
