Yes yes yes we know you can all drink round town until it spills out of your
ears without so much as a sideways look from doormen etc. but Ampfarm has to be extra-careful because, as we all know, gig-goers are nothing but trouble!
So. Here's the low-down on the ID stuff.
Our lower age limit for Ampfarm is 13+ yrs to get into the gigs. These will be clearly marked on all advertising. On the door you will receive a STAR ink-stamp if you are under18 and a HAMMER ink-stamp if you are 18+
IF YOU WANT TO GET IN AND PURCHASE ALCOHOL YOU WILL DEFINITELY NEED ID.
If you are 18+: Jane on the door will accept a PASSPORT, CITIZEN CARD, NEW STYLE DRIVER'S LICENCE and UNIVERSITY MONDEX CARD. They do not accept standard "student" cards as they are too easy to forge.
Jane will also accept an NI CARD when presented with corroborative
photographic ID. This is to prove that you are the owner of the NI Card that
you are presenting.
Yes - it's a pain the neck.
Why do we make such a fuss when your 10 yr old sister gets served everywhere else? Because at Ampfarm we believe in doing things properly.
So don't give Jane a hard time, OK? Just bring your stuff and
you'll get in!! No ID = No booze. You'll find after a few times that you'll be recognised - but bring your ID anyway.
The bar staff at The Alex know the STAR/HAMMER system and it works.
