Having seen The Beatles on TV as a youngster, I knew I wanted to be a musician. I bought my first bass guitar at the age of fifteen and promptly formed a group with three schoolmates - the start of a long and varied musical journey!
I first came across the Stick when I saw Tony Levin playing live with Peter Gabriel - I was instantly hooked! Having acquired one of these sought after instruments, I linked up with other players via the Stickcenter website and subsequently attended several seminars in Spain, Mallorca and the Netherlands, where I was able to meet and exchange ideas with other experienced musicians. During this time I became interested in sound healing and music therapy, the idea being to incorporate these principles into my compositions. The versatility and range of the Chapman Stick has enabled me to compose in an original style, almost harp-like at times, yet still able to hold down a funky groove at the low end.
I have just released my debut album, "Band of Rain", which was recorded and mixed in a lovely stone cottage deep in the Welsh countryside with engineer/producer Satch Norton and string arranger/woodwind specialist Brian Gulland, of the band Gryphon, who both worked on "Ravensong", the acclaimed album by my old friend and bandmate Susan Raven.
Over the last few years I have played at several Small World festivals and indoor events, O O T O festival, Glastonbury Assembly Rooms, Guildford Ambient Picnic, Inspiral Lounge and various arts centres and associated events.
A vegan for over twenty years, my other interests include yoga, art, psychology, ancient sites, nature and travel.

Aural Innovations Space Rock Radio: SONIC WORLD FESTIVAL 2009 SPECIAL (show #226)
YES..... I know the Sonic World Festival was cancelled this year!! The 2008 festival was enough of a success that a second festival was planned for September 4-5, in Derbyshire, UK. But ticket sales were far too low for the diehard labor-of-love organizers to forge ahead and risk taking a financial bath. After trading some emails with festival organizer Nemesis, we agreed that the scheduled bands are all great and deserve exposure. Hence, the festival-..that-..almost-was show you are about to hear. Enjoy!!
Oh Beautiful. I hope you will take time to listen to the message of love. I think you will be very moved and if you are please forward the link on to as many people as possible. If I am thinking of the correct chapel we too had a very powerful experience there. So much love on that sacred land. Looking forward to hearing your new album In Grace Sheila Applegate www.sheilaapplegate.com
I recently channeled "Magdalene's Message on Love" in Glastonbury
England. Glastonbury is Sacred Land that is said to be one of the
places that Magdalene traveled with the message of Love after her
beloved's ascension. She has chosen this Message to be her unveiling.
She is ready to teach the masses and the masses are ready to hear her
messages of true unconditional love. ( While this message comes through
me and I am dedicated to serving as her voice on earth for as long as
she chooses to work with me.. I am not assuming I am the only one who
is offering this gift I am simply doing my part in the Universal
movement of Divine Love)
Please take a moment to listen to this (FREE) powerful message of love
from Magdalene and Isis~ if it resonates with your heart send the link
onto others.
Link To my seeds of love podcast on left side of my profile page
Please help us in this mission by forwarding the links to as many
people as possible.. share them on your networking pages and simply put
the intention for Magdalene's Universal message of unconditional love
to be heard
