After taking a year off since playing live (in 2006) and a couple of years since writing new songs and recording, i have started recording again. Re-recording songs from the analog days of the 1980s and 1990s (such as are currently demonstrated here) may be on the agenda as well as new compositions. Enjoy the past and stay tune for more music coming very soon.
This page contains the more pop/rock/jazz styled music which includes lyrics. The first song new was Can't Believe which i worked on in December 2007 through January 2008. Been getting adjusted to writing and recording again. I completely scrapped the first version of it and made progress toward a final version. Posted a good demo version of it here. Worked on a couple of folk/country style songs which i posted on my folk music page. Nice to be able to post the newer songs.
Yes, Don't Go Out in the Rain is a parody on the band The Police songs and lyrics. At the time back in 1984 or so, I was working on putting together a comedy sketch television show. The Police were quite famous back then and had just released Synchronicity. My show was never completed, but I still think the song is hip enough for some lite humor.
Now in 2009 i have reworked and re-recorded Mysterious Woman. Originally i wrote and recorded it back in 1988. Had that previous version posted here until this fresh new version was completed (thus the "redux"). I know what the song is about from my own perspective. I'll let you decide what the lyrics mean to you.
Please be sure to see my Amritzar - Zen and Amritzar - Folk music pages for more (see friend's links below). Thanx for stopping by. . . .
