Amura - vocals, acoustic guitar and lead acoustic guitar, music and lyrics.
The band is in the coming together stage, the spirits are still guiding us to the meeting place.
Influences
Everything that continually comes through the senses and touches the soul.
I've been writing songs, lyrics, and poems for more than forty years now. Playing off and on in the music business like a kid playing in the streets, ducking and dodging the on coming traffic only to discover the street is where I live, where I feel most at home. Face it, I'm not going to stop wriiting and while I may not like the oncoming cars, I do so love the asphalt, the turf, this nurturing earth that feeds my soul.
So I continue the journey and pick up the hardware, broken pieces, the bloated bag of dreams and pursue, pursue, pursue. Right now, it's just me, the love and the desire to share what comes through with others. Old enough to appreciate the blues I find in my morning cereal. I look in this mirror and see the casing has wrinkles forming on its edges, but within, the spirit still burns bright. So, I no longer worry about the danger in the streets for the band will find me, lord knows the music already has.
Stay in touch, the grass is growing right where we stand.

Love you the most. Your real sister from Austin, TX
Hi Amura, I am going to do my best to get to your gig at the Towne crier in Pawling. And I am looking forward to it. It's been such a pleasure and inspiration watching you play during my stay in NYC. When you're in the groove you take me and the rest of the audience sailing with you. Zelda
Amura has seen it all. He may not want to admit it but he will walk circles around us novices in the music scene. Avoiding musical spam, Amura takes on a profound journey enabling to take part in the evolutionary process. He will sing about, the streets of New York; he will sing about love; he will sing about you and me.
Come join us on anther chapter of Mic-Club where good people gather to happily bestow upon us, creativity, love, support but most of all, Emotional Nakedness.

Greetings ladies and gents, Taharaqa and the Now is blessing us with there arrival. I can never say enough to justify the power and soulfulness this band has. I do not even have time to do my usual intors regarding this fantastic performance. It’s a shame. I love this man to death. He is no longer a friend. He is family. The talent and power this guy exudes is going to vibrate your molecular structure. As Frances would say, “It’s T time” Get you assess out here and be around a supportive environment that has nothing but good intentions. We are tired of the outside world sharing their pettiness. We are here to change by changing our own attitudes. Let’s have a pint of Guinness and listen to some of the most Emotionally Naked artist New York has to offer.

I'm SO excited about the way the songs I recorded at Sugar Hill Studios in Houston for my upcoming EP turned out! The tracks are posted on my page, but the hard copy EP entitled "Light of the Moon" will be out soon with some very ethereal cover art. Additionally, I'm now on Facebook, ReverbNation, and SoundClick. It's busy times for Girl Friday! I hope all is well with you and yours, and every day feels like Friday! :-)
