Who I'd like to meet:
Big Business = Only interested in profit. Exploitation of workers. Government = People have no say. Too much power in one persons hands. Oppression = When you look at it directly you dont see it Democracy = These days is just Dictatorship
Growing threat coming from individuals. Technology has allowed isolated people to have as much power as whole states.
Fundamental Reality is that the human species has overshot the capacity of the planet to sustain it, both in terms of number and in terms of the impact humans are making on the planet
People fall in love with an imagined beauty. A beauty they see in laws and rules which help to keep the idea of Utopia in their minds. They see people and life interfering with the beauty they imagined.
On the flipside of the love they have for their Utopia, is the hatred of anyone or anything who happens to interfere with the realisation of that system
We need to fear people who love systems rather than fear people themsleves
Capitalistic System = Economic inequality is acceptable. Its the engine room of production. Businesses and the state have to guarantee this inequality as it brings richness.
Brutalities of global capitalism are not immediately legible, you need to make the connections to those which appear unconnected
Show the extent to which suffering here, is a product of what we admire and consider prosperous and desirbale, there.
LIBERTY OR DEATH
Democracy is no longer focused on justice and equality and participation of everyone in public life. Democracy now is segregation, walls and gated communities.
In the economical world they want frontiers to be eliminated to facilitate exchange. Frontiers are an obstacle when you set out to make money. For people, by contrast, boundaries are still kept.
Walls work rhetorically by making those who want to get in feel like they are violating something, violating a country, not just crossing a border
Identity = Membership
If you're miserable you've been robbed. You're invisible. Just a number. You've lost your identity.
Looking after babies, who are helpless and so rely on us, or being looked after as a baby is something we have all been the beneficiary of. This attitude is inscribed in our genes or our minds. This means we instinctively know that we can only survive if we take care of the weaker ones.

Freedom is not something to be decreed and protected by laws, its something you shape for yourself and share with your fellow men

Thank god for that. 'lesser form of entertainment'? It's not entertainment at all, i don't understand about what's enjoyable in watching people locked in a house for 10 weeks, but then again that's about the people of today's mentality.
