I was born in a little city near Tokyo,and brought up in the southern part of Japan. Since I was a little child,my father had made me listen to lots of records of great dance music from America that he had collected. Glowing up in a musically rich environment made me become an active girl who loves singing,dancing and playing the instruments.
When I was 12, some songs of The Beatles inspired me and gave me a chance to start writing songs. In my teens I joined some of my friends' bands.(We mainly performed at school festivals..At first, I was a keyboards player..later became a vocalist.)
till2000,In Tokyo,I belonged to some bands. I learned a lot of kinds of music...funk,soul,rock,jazz,salsa,etc. from the Tokyo underground music scene( It's the real exciting and creative scene that I love...)!! I was also a member of a singing and dancing girl hiphop group. Also, I worked as a back up singer and as a vocal teacher. 2001-2003 Retired from music business..(because of my health problem) 2004 In Taipei, Taiwan where I was staying in, I decided to start to sing professionally again. After I came back to Tokyo,I started singing again as a solo singer,amy-A (my new name!) That was my rebirth. 2005In Tokyo, finally I started a funk band with my good friends. It's called"Q.A.S.B."!!!

I've been learning a lot from Funk and Soul of 1960s and 1970s .....
And HipHop culture is also really important to my life...
2005年、友人たちと1970年代スタイルの10人編成ファンクバンド、Q.A.S.B.を結成、都内のクラブ、ライブハウスを中心に活動をスタートする。自身が最も影響を受けたシンガー、ジェームズ・ブラウンや1970年代のファンク、ソウルミュージックのサウンド、メッセージをオリジナルの楽曲で現代に再現することを目指し挑戦を続けている。現在までに配信限定シングル"Stay True"（2006年） "The Key"、 "No!"（2007年） を世界22カ国にてリリース。（iTunes、 napster他）
2008年、アナログ7インチシングル"The key pt1&2"をヨーロッパにてリリース。
現在JAZZMAN (UK), juno records (UK)にて発売中。（日本ではuniversonds限定で発売中。）2009年10月にはThe Keyを含む全8曲からなるフルアルバムCD"Q.A.S.B."をSoul Garden Recordsよりリリース！！！。
ソロのシンガーソングライターとしても、自身が作詞作曲プロデュースした楽曲"CANDLE LIGHT"にてi Tunes Music Store(Japan) R＆B／ソウルデイリーチャート5位を獲得（2006年10月）
