Amy Anderson's Interests
General
Having fun as often as possible and working hard to achieve my goals and dreams. I also have a baby daughter who is QUITE interesting and fabulous!
I'm currently really into snowboarding and I'm obsessed with Daniel Day-Lewis now that I've seen There Will Be Blood. That guy's a destroyer!
I also like to eat: Asian cuisine, Sprinkles cupcakes, movie popcorn, French fries, banana cream pie, tuna melts, anything noodley, cheese, food in general.
Favorite Drink: Gin & tonic with lots of lime.
I love movies, books, animals/pets, cars, motorcycles, fitness, old school video games where you shoot people, meeting cool people who aren't jackasses. Insincerity and conceitedness - I can't stand these qualities in people. Everyone, just be nice.... jeez.
Music
Anything but country western. Old country like Patsy and Johnny Cash are cool, but current country music makes me vomit in my own mouth a little bit and then I have to politely swallow it.
Movies
The ORIGINAL Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Jerk, L.A. Story, Napoleon Dynamite, Palindromes, Magnolia, Boogie Nights, Better Luck Tomorrow, The Wizard of Oz, Sideways, American Beauty, Shopgirl, Rainman, The Sweet Hereafter, The Sound of Music, On Golden Pond, Boogie Nights, Young Frankenstein, Waiting for Guffman, Arthur, Welcome to the Dollhouse, Mean Creek, Stand By Me, The Shawshank Redemption, There Will Be Blood, Juno... I LOVE good movies and there are too many to mention. I also LOVE documentaries: First Person Plural, Grizzly Man, Murderball, The Story of the Weeping Camel, An Inconvenient Truth, March of the Penguins, Smashed, Who Killed the Electric Car - lots of good work out there.
Television
Deseprate Housewives, Oprah, Dexter, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Entourage, Strangers With Candy, Six Feet Under, Jeopardy, South Park, Reno 911, Big Love, Weeds, The Office, 30 Rock and that show about the family of midgets on TLC. Oh, and anything on Noggin (I have a kid, ok?!)
Books
My Year of Meats, Middlesex, Hello He Lied, Shop Girl, Pure Drivel, The Tipping Point, Fast Food Nation, Far Side cartoons, Magical Thinking, House of Sand and Fog, almost anything by Wally Lamb, Tobias Wolf and John Irving
Heroes
Adopted people with amazing stories! My old music teacher, Roger Hoel. Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, The Smothers Brothers, Gene Wilder, Joan Rivers pre-plastic surgery and red carpet, Ellen Degeneres, Mel Brooks, Oprah, Margaret Cho, Ben & Jerry, Baskin & Robins, Peaches & Herb, Frick & Frack and many many personal friends who inspire me every day. Oh, and my dog Curly the Wonder Chihuahua who manages to be a happy little dude even though his balls got cut off. Now THAT'S a hero.

Here is my Southwest Airlines commercial that is playing right now:
Here is the latest national commerical I'm in, for GE Aviation. Unfortunately, I got chopped out of a lot (I'm seen for a split second playing the cello!), but it's still a great, funny commercial. Same director as the SW Airlines spot.
Here's a more recent 5 min spot at The Comedy Store in Hollywood:
Ciao for Now Brown Cow,
Amy Anderson
Comedian/Actor/Producer/Writer/All Around Groovy Gal
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who is a positive, cool, friendly, interesting, intelligent person... but mostly, Steve Martin and my birth mother, but probably not at the same time. Awkward!

Thanks for the add! Hey, I can't compare the friday show to the saturday one. You are awesome and we need social commentary in humorous form! We need comedy! Have a safe trip back to LA!
I'm based in Gilroy, CA 30 minutes south of San Jose. 5 hours from Hollywood. 2 from SF. I try to play shows all over CA to build the act and following. Just paying dues, you know...
Oh no it's back! that elevator commercial...it's just showcasing another example of an asian woman keeping a white man from rising to higher level! protest at noon in beverly hills.
