Cherrywood Records, October 2009
Amy Atchley releases her 3rd solo CD, Pretty Muse. Haunting, wispy, and bold vocals transport listeners to an island of ethereal songs. Tracks are filled with moody piano melodies, complimented by lush guitar, and mixed with a dreamy vibe.
Release Party Nov. 7th 2009 Flipinotics AustinTX 10pm
A familiar voice of the Texas-bred songstress line-up, Amy Atchley has recently resurfaced in the Texas where she has returned home after 4 ½ years of honing her craft of songwriting & singing in New York City. There she signed with management The Eichner Entertainment Company (Mickey Eichner former VP of Colunbia Records 20 years) who helped elevate her career and supported the independent release of her 2nd solo CD entitled Wish which was mixed & mastered at the infamous Hit Factory. While in NYC, Amy was a regular participant BMI’s local songwriter’s circle. Her song In Memory was featured on the 2001 BMI New Music Sampler. She built a strong presence in the local NYC scene where she performed regularly at venues such as CBGB’s Gallery, The Living Room, The Bitter End, Arlene’s Grocery. While in NYC, also worked for the VH1 Save the Music program as where she helped install over 100 music programs in low income schools nation-wide.
In 2007, Amy was a featured singer on Denise Rich’s 80’s hits compilation called The D Project where Amy performed her own renditions of Patti La Belle’s Addicted to You & Mark Anthony’s Do You Still Remember Me. Currently Amy is back in the studio recording a whole new line up of tunes with the new CD to be released in the Fall 2009. She also is an active commercial singer, nailing national & local jingles for Ebay, NYC lottery, Disney, Barbie, Mattel, Click Girls, and more. She has been selected as a performing artist at both SXSW & CMJ music conferences.
