I was asked to sing a song for both my cousin's and grandfather's memorial services... within the same couple months. The song chosen for both was "Follow Love" by FFH. Though appropriate, I felt as though they weren't personal enough--they didn't have the right mood I wanted. During the summer of 2007, six people I knew (or had relations to in some way) passed away. With such a wildly known inspiration, I wrote lyrics to a song that could be sung for any funeral, for any age, and be appropriate for any type of relationship. My friend, Will, helped me out and came up with the music... and finally in the summer of 2008, the song "You're Here" was flipped upside-down, given a more upbeat, pop, and girlish flare, renamed to "You're Near" (because the lyrics changed), and recorded and produced by CLM Productions with the collaboration of RadioPoet Productions. Tell me what you think! Heck, you could even support me more and help me pay off the studio time and buy it! :)
Singing is my main passion-- I have CD entitled "Don't Give Up"; I sing christian tunes at church camp campfires; I sing along to Disney movies... etc. Living in Seattle, I attend Roosevelt High School as a junior and with a 3.9 g.p.a. At a towering 5'0" tall, you don't want to mess with me. I knows where she want to go, and am ready to get myself there.
Nahh its not that strange, i dont know if i would like it either, i mean the money would be great sure; but i think i would feel empty like something was missing.
Happy Birthday! You don't know how much you letting me use your song "Your Near", meant to me and my sister. You have such a beautiful gift! And if you are ever in the Alabama area let me know! Sarah
