Soulful keyboard songstress Amy Clarke continues to receive positive industry attention, media coverage, and domestic & international exposure as an indie artist.

First-born daughter of a math/music and an english/history teacher in Silver Spring, Maryland, Amy was playing keys by age 4, and trained to be a concert pianist for ten years, while singing in church, stage & school choirs. At 14, she started writing her own music. After winning several vocal arts & music competitions, she chose an academic scholarship to Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service to broaden her knowledge of global affairs. Between classes, rehearsals, and performances, Amy spent her waking hours creating and shaping music in the hauntingly beautiful acoustics of historic campus chapels. Graduating with a Lifetime Membership in the M&B Dramatic Society, she performed at The Studio Theatre & other professional stages in Washington, DC - singing her original music only at full moon gatherings, small local clubs, and underground house parties during the east coast electronic music expansion at the turn of the century. However, as skilled DJs (Doug Singer), producers (Holmes Ives), and record labels (District of Corruption, Perceptual/Ova) discovered her musical talents, Amy was encouraged to move to New York City to further her artistic development.

Amy Clarke burst onto the downtown NYC music scene opening as a solo experimental keyboardist in residence for a series of Brothers' Brothers DJ parties in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. After earning a certificate in electronic music production from The SAE Institute of Technology, she independently produced and released her debut "After The Fall" EP in 2006. Since then, Amy's music has been featured on national, cable & internet TV; FM, Internet, & Sirius Satellite Radio; she has been interviewed on both TV and radio and played numerous high-profile gigs at top venues. Amy was a Finalist in Radio Crystal Blue's Airplay Vote 2007, received her second ASCAP Plus award in January 2008, and is currently making a new album.

Clarke has performed her innovative, electro-acoustic music solo (whether on a grand piano, her synth keyboard or both) at: SXSW Music (Mar'08 - Desert Highway @ Momo's & Austin Java) South Park Music Tour (Jun'08 - Festival Performance) Indiegrrl!/HC Festival for Change (Sep'07 - Festival Performances) and notable rooms across the country. New York City: Amy has performed at The Cutting Room, The Bitter End (repeat solo & band shows), Rockwood Music Hall (repeat solo shows), Pianos, CBGB's 313 Gallery, Marion's, Rose Live Music, Mo Pitkins House of Satisfaction, Caffe Vivaldi, The Triad, The Duplex, P.S. 122, M Shanghai Den (Williamsburg, Brooklyn solo residency), BAP (Bushwick Art Project '06), Hope Lounge, outdoor concerts, and benefits for Theatres Against War International, Planned Parenthood, The FCW Society, Habitat for Humanity International, The Tree of Life Grove, & Conservation International. Washington, DC: Amy has performed from downtown underground venues such as The Black Cat and The Red & The Black to the National Ellipse of The White House. She has also taken the stage at the Studio Theatre, Georgetown University, Catholic University, The National Theatre & The Kennedy Center, and produced a benefit concert for The Department of Peace. Los Angeles, CA: Amy has performed at The House of Blues, The Derby,The Verity Room, The Viper Room, Tangier, Genghis Cohen, The Talking Stick, Karma, & The Bel Age as well as the Methodfest Film Festival in Calabasas and in several fundraisers.

While primarily a solo artist, Amy enjoys experimenting live with guest musicians, has produced several music benefits and fundraisers and is developing an initiative called Gaia Grove to further benefit local communities and the environment. She performed her first international benefit show for Zonas Verdes de Punta Banda in Mexico in May of 2008. Her own label MAAT Music references an ancient goddess of order, justice, balance, and healing, reflecting Amy's passions for global culture, social and political activism, and modern day spirituality. Amy has also starred Off-Broadway, appeared in feature films, and has been featured and interviewed on network TV, cable TV, HFM Radio UK & Sirius Satellite Radio. Amy now lives in Silver Lake, CA, where she continues to compose, create, perform, produce, grow her fan base, and enjoy it all.
