something about me....
i am annoying about insisting the sound and sights of anything analogue is better than digitial... i get really excited when i play loud music, make films, see a VW fox 2 door wagon, discover beautiful past artifacts, blast cassettes, parallel park and untie knots.

"Amy Cooper is one hell of a songwriter. Lean, mean, and as tight as they come, her songs are personal narratives that often unfold from a single, seemingly simple line" (popmatters.com)
"On this 7-song EP, the delicate balance of bright yet dissonant vocals and playful yet grungy backdrop of art-rock ends up in a woozy mix of pop perfection. Her nack for garage-like compositions turned art-pop makes her freakishly charming." (theblackandwhitemag)
"Sort of like a less distorted Breeders with a bit of Belly almost, “Mirrors” boasts a fun atmosphere and creative listen...Amy Cooper on Mirrors finds a new fangled passion for crafting sweet alternative pop hooks." (Smother.net)
" A delicate balance of the sweet and the menacing, water/fire, which was produced by indie rocker John Vanderslice, blends murky guitars, slightly haunting string arrangements, and a soft yet powerful percussion that sweeps in and out like the tide. Water/fire will catch you off guard and subtly hook you in, like a moth to a flame". (SF Bay Guardian)

Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
Thanks for your support of the last NLO concert the photos are now viewable on our myspace site. We are currently mixing the last 6 songs on our 17 track project. Look for it in stores in December 2009
