My Mum is Swedish and My Dad is English.I have three sisters and a baby brother,Danielle who is 21,Lisa who is 12,Holly who is 8 and Charlie. I was born in Sweden but we lived in England until I was 4 and a half years old so I speak both english and swedish at home.
Believe it or not but I used to be a figure skater-It was so much fun!! But in the end I was training 6 days/week and competing at the weekends so I knew I had to choose between Figureskating and Singing-my two big passions in life!! Although it was a little sad to leave the Figureskating behind there was no doubt whatsoever in my mind to choose Singing!!
The first time I performed on a stage was when I was 8 years old.I loved it so much!! I asked my Mum to find some Talentcompetitions I could enter. At one Talentcompetition there was an A&R from my record company in the Jury. He called my parents and offered me a recording contract.They sent us some songs to listen to - the songs were "Whats in it for me?" and "Welcome to the city". After recording "Whats in it for me?" in the studio me and my Dad were flown to Cuba to make my first ever Musicvideo. I was so excited!! "What..s in it for me?" was released when I was 12 years old and it was a major hit in all the Nordic Countries,Poland and the Baltic Countries.I couldnt believe it!! My first Album was called "This Is Me Now".The second Album was called "Still Me Still Now" and my third Album "Music in Motion"which was also released as an extra edition Album "Music in Motion Gold Edition" including my latest hit "Thank You" and lots of extra materials.Ive been so lucky to be able to work with such great songwriters and producers!! Hope you enjoy the Album as much as I have enjoyed making it :)
My fourth Album was a Swedish Christmas Album called "En Helt Ny Jul"(translated as "A brand new Christmas).It was released in November 2008.It was really fun to do a Swedish album as Id never done one before.My next Album will be in English though and I will perform my first single "Its My Life" from my upcoming Album exclusively in the Swedish Song Contest Semi-Finals on 14th of February 2009 for the first time - I can’t wait!
My fifth and Up-coming Album is called “Swings and Roundabouts”. Its an English Pop-Album which will be released on the 21st of October.We have been working on this album for over a year now and I couldnt be happier with the result!!
It has been such great fun to pick out all the songs and it has been great working with all the songwriters(Negin Djafari,Peter Wennerberg,Mattias Wenge,Sharon Vaughn,Alexander Bard,Bobby Ljunggren,Alexander Kronlund,Ali Payami,Aleena Gibson)and Robert Habolin who has both written some of the songs on the album plus been the main producer on the album. Thanks to Robert I have learned so much and he has allowed me to get even more involved with the productions!
My first single UP (written by Negin Djafari,she also wrote “Shooting Star” a hit from my first album,Peter Wennerberg and Mattias Wenge-who both wrote Thank You)was released on the 6th of October. I am really excited for you all to hear the new songs and cant wait to perform them live!!
Hej Amy!<3 Jag hoppas att allt är bra! Själv är det helt okej. Nu har det kommit ett stort lass med snö under natten så det börjar bli riktig julstämning såhär När vi närmar oss jul, hehe.
