Amy's new record is being produced by Thomas Kobrick and is set for release winter of 2007. It will feature a mix of songs from her last album "Heroine" (2004 Fine Large Cat) and newer tunes. The fully produced songs will have accordion, pedal steele, bass and percussion, along with Amy's signature guitar style and vocals. Joining Amy on the record are her producer, Thomas Kobrick, members of Akron/Family (Young God Records), Cassis (B-Blush), Brian Wurschum (www.thevoyces.net) and many more talented friends and artists.
Amy has lived in Manhattan for over four years and amongst the many accomplishments since her arrival, she founded and hosted one of the largest open mic events in the city for 2 1/2 years, booked the East Village Club "The Sidewalk Cafe" and hosted the open mic event there, released a full length album, "Heroine" (2004, Recorded and Produced by Malachi Delorenzo) and two other EP's, "Things To Say"(2002) and "Amy Hills Live" (2004) all of which are currently available through her website but will go out of print upon release of the new record.
Hey Amy...thanks for the ADD! I enjoyed listening to your music. Great talent and awesome musicianship! I especially like your song "Leave Her"...cool vibes for sure! Take care and Be Safe!
Hi Amy! I download allot of underground music. Most of it I end up listening to only once or twice and then it gets put into the mediocre bucket and I never listen to it again. But you are the exception. I have listened to your music more than any other underground artist! I love what you do! I just wanted to let you know! :)
Merry Christmas, Amy! Thanks for your friendship and support in 2007. I always think of the time I spend in the studio as time spent with you; so, thanks for keeping me company! I'm looking forward to sharing lots more music with you in 2008.
Your singer/songwriter/friend,
Den Hollinden
Wishing you lots of success in your career in 2008!
I don't miss you too much. After all, I only saw you once a week every once in a while for a few months. Sure it would have been nice to see more of you but you've got things to do and so do I.
I don't think I've wished you good luck but you seem to have your fate well at hand.
Thanks Amy It would be nice to see you again. -Cordell
So many things to say, and no way to say them. Just remembering how you stuck your neck out for me when I really needed it, and what a warm and welcoming space you made for so many of us. I hope you're doing very, very well.
Hey Hey,
Just checking in to see how things are going these days? Looking forward to meeting up at a show at some point. Keep in touch.
Cheers,
Matt & Kane
