I don't like to leave my nest, which is quite the dilemma for a singer/songwriter type. .... If you're interested, I have a 6-song EP called FOOLISH LONESOME for sale. Send me a message. .... REVIEWS AND SUCH ... .... "This six-song recording is a quest for human connection.Amy Lashley performs songs about men who have let her down, yet she finds reliable company in "Miss Josephine." This standout track details the affection a 33-year-old can have for a 3-year-old -- perhaps a niece or the daughter of a friend. Lashley's lyrics question her own maturity while appreciating the youngster's blissful nature. "You're a dream in a dandelion dress," she sings. "You take away my troubles, I must confess." Traditional country arrangements -- highlighted by Jim Kremidas on pedal steel guitar, dobro and mandolin -- caress Lashley's voice, which boasts a bittersweet tone similar to country-rock darling Neko Case. Rural pride permeates "Foolish Lonesome," which chides "Lil' Brother" for bolting the Midwest for a fancy coastal city. As for Lashley's own metropolitan experiences, she notes that stars get lost and the moon just hangs in the sky." David Lindquist, Indianapolis Star .... ..Americana Roots Review.., ..Indianapolis Music.Net Feature.., ..Nuvo Newsweekly.. and ..Spreekt u het Nederlands?.. .... P.S. Bio:

Otis and I are doing our best to make my next record a Mom & Pop home studio venture...Wanamaker Recording Company--6 songs "in the can" so far. This might take awhile with O's schedule and my tendency toward self-deprecation and doubt. . .

I don't like to leave my nest, which is quite the dilemma for a singer/songwriter type.

If you're interested, I have a 6-song EP called FOOLISH LONESOME for sale. Send me a message.
