I am from Minneapolis and write songs and sing. Hasil Adkins and I were engaged until his passing in 2005. Hasil was one of the most spiritual people I've ever known. Ours was a spiritual connection. He always put his Lord first. Hasil loved making people happy with his music. He was a sensitive romantic and a raging wildman. He really did love to eat raw meat, but he also loved tomatoes and ate them by the case. He liked his beer and pop warm. Hasil loved living chickens as much as the chickens on his plate. He adored watching baby chicks, he called "biddies", hop around his yard. He loved all animals. He really loved children and old people. He liked hamburgers but didn't have much use for the bun. He loved KFC and Tudor's Biscuit World...the best fast food chain anywhere. Hasil loved all his friends and his family. He was reclusive much of the time, but that didn't stop him from smiling and dialing. Hasil loved to talk on the phone and he loved the coal train that runs just on the other side of the river outside his trailer. He would hold the phone up in the air and scream, "Do you hear my choo-choo?" and scream for the engineer to blow the whistle while laughing like a maniac. I loved hearing that train whistle and listening to him get excited about the train the same as when he was a little kid. Hasil never called his place a "holler". He always called it "the bottom". Whatever it is, it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Hasil loved his home despite the fact that it was a difficult existence. Hasil was a genius. He was the greatest guitar player. What he was able to achieve was monumental given the fact that he came from the back hills of Boone County, West Virginia and only attended four days of school in his life. I am incredibly proud of him. If you don't know who Hasil Adkins was, get with the program!! Hasil and I wrote quite a few songs about each other. Here are some of my songs about him. My friends Paul Metzger, Elaine Evans, Kevin Cosgrove, and Adam Oliansky helped me record these songs. I posted some pictures of Hasil and his guitars here. Hasil and I were going to start his old company A.R.C. Records back up but decided instead to start Blink Records. If you would like to be released on Blink, please let me know and we can talk about it. I am a painter too. You can buy my paintings here: http://kiitos.etsy.com. You can see a bunch of my paintings here: http://kiitos.deviantart.com. Please pray for Hasil. Thank you!

We are debuting a project called Sonic Transformations. Every month or so we will present a new audio-visual performance based on a different theme/story. We will be collaborating with artists and other creative musicians along the way so let us know if you have something you'd want to bring into this project.
The first in the series is called "AN OBJECT TO CRAVE". Live music and visuals based on a short story about life, love, loss, fantasy, obsession and death.
Another group of mine, The Magnetrons, which plays an exciting and innovative Livetronica set (i.e. STS9, Disco Biscuits, The Histronic) will also be playing. It will be a musical adventure, and we hope that you can come participate :)
Here's the info:
Blood Root Mother - "An Object to Crave" w/ The Magnetrons & Thought Thieves Friday, October 16th Station 4 201 E 4th St St Paul, MN 55101 9pm / $5 / 18+
I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time a few days ago. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral.
There are some cool covers, as well as some NEW music that will be on our upcoming EP. We're very excited about the new music and we'd like to share a sneak peak with you. Here's a video of a new tune called Run Bobby Run:
Amatrices et amateurs de vrai hip hop, Voici le nouveau clip EDIFICE de Gorah & Enz .. Allez jeter un oeil, laisser un commentaire, faites tourner, poster-le dans des blogs...bref, faites vivre la chose sur myspace et le net! .. Le morceau est issu du maxi vinyle "EDIFICES" toujours disponible sur ma page et dans les shops spécialisés. .. Peace & bon visionnage..
We're not halfway through featuring all the 74 festival bands yet, but we will get to each and every one of them before the fest.
Today, I want to let you all know about the Deep Blues Festival "For The Love Of Jesus" gospel brunch. The last day of the fest will have a special 11am to 2pm concert by all the bands left standing. I've posted a couple versions of Hasil Adkins song "Me And Jesus" on our player today. I'm sure it will be played at the brunch by somebody.
Our film fest is coming together too, and a featured screening will be Ron Smith's documentary of Hasil "My Blue Star". We had an early edit last summer, and I can't wait to see the final cut.
You really all should go check out this blog from the hound about Hasil and the Great Lost Album here

Appena sarà tutto pronto ti faremo sapere.
Felice Anno Nuovo. Dio ti benedica ancora, grazie. Suonate il blues più che potet
