American Spanish Mexican German Sicilian Welsh
A mixed up kid born in America with an ethnic background of a crazy latina, a stubborn German, a passionate Sicilian, all wrapped up in a Welsh's fair skin.
Music has always been a big influence in my life and still carries me where I go today...I grew up in Connnecticut listening to various styles from RAVE/ELECTRONICA/EXPERIEMENTAL (Bjork, The Orb, Keoki, etc), EMO (Texas Is The Reason, Sunny Day Real Estate, etc) - SKA (Metro Stylee, Specials, English Beat, etc) - PUNK & GRUNGE (Vice Squad, X-Ray Spex, Ramones, Sex Pistols, Hole, Nirvana, etc).
moved to NYC at the age of eighteen to go to college and never looked back (by then I was listening to stuff like Glass Candy, Ladytron, Electrocute, The Rapture, The Sounds, etc). In 2004, I lived in Madrid where the local kids introduced me to Spanish bands like Los Niki's, Flans, Radio Futura, Alaska, Deluxe, etc. I returned to NY in search of more pop, rock, goth, electro, and indie rock sung in Spanish. For two years, I produced a multilingual pop and rock party called Le One Night Stand and in '06 I joined my friend Marcelo Cunning to produce the Spanish-sung indie party Nacotheque. It's a lot of fun.
I’ve written a bunch of articles about music I like for various media including NYRemezcla, Batanga, and The Tripwire. That’s a lot of fun too.
