Madonna, Simply Red (they too are very "out of the ordinary"...creativity is what it's truly all about is it not?,...Celine (gotta love her!)...still LOVE the group BOSTON (they are from my home area!)...Chuck Mangione (there's "jazzin' it up for ya!)...Enigma (how deep and fulfilling)...ok and...well...me...Amy LynMartin! (I have a new CD out...working hard at it!)
Movies
haha...ok time for folks to laugh but...my #1 all time favorite movie...The Breakfast Club!! As well, Sweet Home Alabama, and for total, intense, "funny" stuff...Liar! Liar with Jim Carey...kept me in stitches! (not a big movie buff but those are tops in my eyes!)
Television
(now for the boring stuff...) Discovery Health Channel (so many walks of life, so much "reality"...it's a breath of fresh air seeing the "real deal" that we can all relate to in some fashion or another.)...MSNBC...mostly dear ole' Joe Scarborough...ok now never expected i'd say this but...AMERICAN IDOL...at least this past season...found myself glued to that television on tues, weds. and thurs nights...not sure if that's good or bad...it just "is" or "was" i should say...other than that again...i'm more into the music facet of life more than television or movies but...i do have my faves!
Books
"100 Simple Secrets of Happy People"...written by David Niven, Ph.D. Everyone should read this...setting goals in life is a wonderful thing but...enjoy the journey on the WAY to that goal because...that truly is where happiness is at...and if you DON'T "make it" it doesn't really mean that you didn't "make it" necessarily...just depends on how you are defining it all...be a good friend to yourself is all i can say...be your BEST friend if need be...feels pretty amazing! (ok...now i'm babbling...)
Who I'd like to meet: Madonna being first...i adore her strength, ability to take judgment(s) lightly and still continue to keep going and maintain the level of fame that she has...she's her own person and proud to be...it's clearly obvious...although i'm sure she has her moments like any of us do but...she never ceases to amaze me...to me, those that have judged and ridiculed her and "who she is" over the yrs...really should sit back and be more open minded...they should ALSO realize that the more ridicule and negativity that breeds...the more attention and popularity prevails for her! Good for you Madonna...just be you!
