Co-founder, arranger and saxophonist Alex Hamlin orchestrates a sound that fuses the rhythms of classic Stax records with brass power that the Godfather of Soul would be proud of. They might just hit you seventeen times with their parade of originals — including bluesy ballads, rock n' roll scorchers and catchy sixties-style pop ditties. While touring in Europe with the musical Grease it was in Zurich, Switzerland where she met the talented musician Alex Hamlin. The two immediately had a connection that could not be ignored and began writing music together. Within a year's time they finished their debut EP and formed a 9-piece band now called the Gunshow. The Gunshow continues to play in highly reputable New York venues such as Bitter End, Canal Room, Mercury Lounge, and most recently they headlined at the Highline Ballroom.
