.. ...... Amy Meyers is a recognized singer/songwriter in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. She has been playing in the Bay Area since 1991 and in that time released 9 CD’s of original music, 1 Christmas CD, and 1 Children’s CD. In April of 2011, she is scheduled to release her 2nd "All Ages" CD called GIT ON BOARD - original arrangements of traditional folks songs. Her 2008 release LUCKY charted at 14 on Folk Radio with the song "Summer Town" hitting 4. Other music industry endorsements include Austin’s popular folk/pop star Sara Hickman who licensed the rights to Amy’s song “Good” (from Amy’s Strange & Beautiful album) and reproduced it on her June 2006 release, Motherlode..... Currently, Amy continues to perform as a solo artist, with her band, and as the keyboardist and backup singer for local Bay Area's THE JUDEA EDEN BAND. She is also a co-founder and member of the pop/jazz/rock trio Bittersweet who released their debut CD in Dec 2009. After releasing her new "All Ages" CD this April, she will begin work on a solo piano recording. As a graduate from the theatre department at Northwestern University, it is no surprise that in addition to the music scene, Amy has appeared in several stage productions singing, acting, and usually playing an instrument or two. She has appeared in a leading role in 5 different productions of the hit OFF-BROADWAY musical, COWGIRLS..... Her original music has been heard on several radio stations across the nation and has earned her recognition as a featured artist on KFOG (San Francisco), a finalist in the LILITH FAIR TALENT SEACH CONTEST, and Best Song awards from The WEST COAST SONGWRITERS ASSOCIATION.....
