Anywho - I am now currently going to school for Illustration and specializing in video game character design. I want to be successful and I want to take care of my family and give back what they've given me, though... it would be a whole lot cooler if hugs were united states currency and I could continue working on music. Hugs are frickin' sweet, wtf. Whatever, don't judge me.
I miss music so much. I wish I could keep at it.. and keep recording with all of the amazing people who essentially made my music what it is. I could never have done any of this without you and I am so lucky to be surrounded by such amazing people and to have made such beautiful music! Jakob Ward - you are an incredibly gifted producer and amazing friend. Thank you. You are wonderful. Jason Reaven - I miss you. You taught me how to play guitar and you taught us all how to love life and laugh until we cry. You will live on in my music forever and I am so thankful for that. I celebrate your life every time I hear one of your guitar leads or jem-be beats, and it is an amazing feeling. My family - you always believed in me and you still do. You never told me to give up and you never wanted me to stop. You are my biggest fans. I'm sorry I'm not a rockstar but I promise I'll make it up to you someday. My friends - You never fail to make me feel like it really could happen for me someday. Thankyou for all the times you asked me to play and sing for you even if you were just being nice haha.
You inspire me, you cannot even imagine how much. I love you all.
"To The Sun" - Produced by Geoff Moore and Phillip Stringfellow. Vocals by Amy Staats, Phillip Stringfellow, and James
LOL this is crazy! And it only works if you have Internet Explorer (I think). You have to go to www . retwistic . com (no spaces) and then after it loads you need to hit the back button or else the funny video won't come up. If that doesn't work then hit the forward button instead.
I have copies of Painted Faces on my comp from like... six years ago! You still sound great, I really hope you get to what you aspire to be in the music business. You've got a really beautiful voice, if I may offer you a quote by Kurt Vonnegut, "What people respond to in art is the artist struggle against his or her own limitations."
Just keep pushing yourself and people will definitely respond
I dunno if you know or not, but I've got a music page up and I just posted my first "full band" song. I'm trying to get various opinions on it from neutral sources, and you happen to be one of the few on my friends list ^_^
It's the first song on the playlist. Pleeeease? Even if pop-rock/popshit isn't your cup of tea, constructive criticism or a "fuck you, stop spamming me grievey! get a life and a girlfriend! Already have one? Get a sheep." would suffice!
And no, this isn't spam. Although usually saying that would mean that it is.
