amy has been a poet almost as long as she could spell the word...
she loves the sound of laughter and works tirelessly to cultivate her own.
She dreams in rainbow Technicolor,
exercises her demons with a pen,
and prefers the freedom of unlined paper.
She has refused to grow up—
knowing that it is an impossibility
to be just one thing when she gets there.
She lives for the promise of tomorrows
and revels in retelling the stories of yesterday.
she loves to perform,
thinks groupies are neat,
and hopes to someday be worth her weight in poem.
She has been fortunate enough to SLAM with 4 teams in 5 years.
2001—helped team dallas win gold in seattle
2004—enjoyed the final stage a 2nd time as team dallas took the bronze in st. louis
2006—was honored to represent team dallas—pugsley’s library on the
indie finals stage in Austin. she also co-coached this thoroughly enjoyable group of miscreants..
for the last 3 years she has been mistress of all things poem at the Annual Deep Ellum Arts Festival. Always held the first weekend of april, she is the one to talk to for feature opps if you are in dallas on that particular weekend.
amy loves to travel and has featured in venues coast-to-coast, from seattle to bar 13 and the nuyorican. she’s looking for any excuse to come see you and read poems. Feel free to contact her with feature and workshop opportunities.

DJ TC will be mixing the beats so if you need ypur cd played TC is the man that will do it.
If you love RNB, Jazz, Reggae, and Blues Bijou Lounge band Cassonova Live will have you up dancing and out your seat.
