also sounds a bit like outkast, coolio, guns n’ roses, spice girls, nin, miles davis, kraftwerk, eric clapton, james brown, alice cooper, queen, led zep, 50 cent, roots manuva, zz top, charles mingus, daft punk, celine dion, revolting cocks, whitney houston, faith no more, def leppard, bon jovi, pink floyd, donna summer, the knack, rod stewart, inxs, deep purple, right said fred, primus, europe, jimi hendrix, arrested development, billy martin, bruce springsteen, public enemy, ram jam, living colour, eric dolphy, britney spears, foo fighters, the righteous brothers and slayer - all hanging out together on the love boat playing air guitar to one another..

Anaesthesia Associates was the solo audio project of ⊃a∩ ∪ntitle⊃ (formerly Agnihotri-Clark) for five years, and reformed in 2006 as a live audio/video duo with Paul Bradley.
Take a whole load of sampled beats, sounds and visuals, throw them in the blender and that is ⊃a∩ and Paul; mix with a fat dose original sounds and animations and the tasty residue left behind is Anaesthesia Associates. Serve live and enjoy.

“I Miss You, Great To See You Again 2.0?
10.30pm (NZ time): The Engine Room, and live in real time at the UpStage Site
A live audiovisual mashup of popular love songs and Hollywood romantic comedy films.
The two anaesthetists have now been reunited in RL - the last time they performed this open heart surgery operation, they did so from opposite sides of the planet (⊃a∩ was at Goldsmiths University in London, UK, and Paul was in an internet cafe in Taupo, NZ).
This operation will be performed live from the Engine Room in Wellington, NZ. We wonder how they will get on in the same operating theatre as one another?

So what should you expect from an Anaesthesia Associates live performance? Well, we can show you...
For the videos below, please note that they will play more smoothly if you download them than if you stream them over the internet. We recommend downloading the videos to get the optimal viewing and listening experience.
Here is an excerpt from our recent gig at the performance art conference Intimacy: Across Digital and Visceral Performance (London, Goldsmiths University). This track is called infinite (cupid's remix) - it's a mashup of the anaesthesia track infinite with other audio from Outkast, Spice Girls, Guns n' Roses, NIN, Led Zepplin, and video from Sex and the City and various romantic comedies...
For this performance, ⊃a∩ mixed audio from London, while Paul mixed video over the internet from an internet cafe in Taupo, New Zealand.
This next track is called away from the train, the video footage is sourced entirely from the open source film project Stray Cinema. Raw footage was filmed in London, and participants from around the globe have been making edits of the film.
Anaesthesia Associates performed live simultaneously from opposite sides of the globe at the Stray Cinema 2007 Screening Event: ⊃a∩ in London, UK, and Paul performing from his bedroom in Wellington, New Zealand.
Here we see the glam rock gods known as Anaesthesia Associates performing The Greatest Air Guitar Album in the World, Vol II, live to web from the Wellington Film Archive, at the 070707 festival - celebrating the launch of UpStage version 2.
And here's some more audiovisual mashup madness, a video from that performance called 3% spandex...

Hey guys I would like to invite you personally to our final Social Club gig of the year!
As someone who has played at one of our earlier gigs, we would really like to see you there. We have Mottob to kick off with their brand of rock, and then I hope you can join me for a drink. This is a celebration of the hard work that I, and others, have put in this year. We're advertising the gig as jamming welcome, so please bring along an instrument and a few friends, and we can jam the night away (or at least a couple of hours).
Please pass this invite onto your bandmates. All are welcome. Free entry, kick off at 8pm. Hope to see you there! Patricia Administrator Music & Artists' Social Club
