dear solitaire, wish you a wonderful summer.

    (open-hearted, 2009, http://karmym.imagekind.com/)
I believe that at every level of society - familial, tribal, national and international - the key to a happier and more successful world is the growth of compassion. We do not need to become religious, nor do we need to believe in an ideology. All that is necessary is for each of us to develop our good human qualities. (http://dalailama.com)

Thanks for the photo comment. I had that thing for so long I kinda forgot what I look like underneath it. I hardly recognize myself. :)

I saw your videos on youtube. Looks like you made a lot of progress. Kandasana and headsit. Awesome! Very inspiring for my own practice.

Good luck with your performance! Is someone going to film it? I would really like to see it. Busy with music? Are you composing some stuff?

Blurbs

About me:

I am a classically trained pianist/accompanist. I've practiced yoga in some form for most of my life, partial to Ashtanga Vinyasa. I'm currently pursuing interest in circus arts, having always been fascinated by the beauty of contortion. In spare time I enjoy exploring composition. I write predominantly for duo piano, as there is a paucity of repertoire for the medium, and for solo piano, as I believe actual pianists are most familiar with the complex possibilities afforded by the instrument. I am sometimes opinionated (not extending to politics, about which I find myself sadly apathetic), with a keen personal aesthetic sense. I am constantly working to satisfy ideals I set for myself; I judge myself more than I do anyone else.

"EVERYTHING'S A SIGN OF MY ASTROLOGY (Rufus Wainwright)"

I find astrology fascinating from the perspective of personality traits/behaviour and interaction/compatibility.

I believe in reincarnation--in the existence of a greater/summative aspect of the self that has assimilated the lessons of previous lives. We enter each life with limitations that are designed to inform that archself. I believe in 'faith'--in having something in which to believe. I think religion acts as metaphor for the Truth--a condensation for our limited wordly understanding. I don't believe in the proselytization of any particular religious faith above another. Any belief system may be used for good or illl; we each have the responsibility to think how what we might want for ourselves may cause another hurt.
