I am a writer. Always have been, always will be.
I used to want to be a Hip-Hop producer, but that's changed. Making beats is just a hobby now. A brother had to grow up after getting jerked so many times. It's not that my love for the music has changed, in fact, it's increased. But as for my aspirations to get into the music industry itself...it can't be a priority right now. I really wanted that to be my side hustle to writing and publishing, but after years of wasting my time on artists that had no money and no plan, and apparently no respect for my time and effort, I had to put this desire back in the Box of Dreams. If anyone feels disrespected by that statement, sorry, but it's that real for me now. I love this music more than them, that's all.
Right now, I'm dragging myself through my first real book project. All the music is coming down and I'm going to post excerpts of my book in my blog for feedback.
So, any music projects I may have had are still just in my head. There is an instrumental album I'm a part of with my dude Resyte that's coming real soon, and maybe 2 EP projects. So, it's not that I'm stepping away from music, just the desire to get into the business. Now, if opportunity comes knockin'...I'll listen. But I will never hold my breath again (feel me, Cyrus?) Yeah, I am a Hip-Hop Trackwriter, but I'm also a pretty good writer. I've neglected or redirected that talent for a bit too long, I think.
So, there maybe a snippet of this or that track, but mostly excerpts from this book coming in the near future. Thanks to my people for all the support and understanding. Y'all know how dedicated I AM (not "was", it's never really over) to all my talents and passions, but this time, this year, isht got real, lol!
