Analogy se formo por primera vez en el año 2003 como una banda de covers de bandas de heavy metal como Iron Maiden y Metallica. Fue formada por Eduardo "Edu" Franco y Benjamin "Benja" Lopez, en aquellos momentos era mas un proyecto informal hecho por bichos de colegio. Al paso del tiempo la banda se desintegro, dejandose como un proyecto a futuro a realizar. Originarios de la ciudad de San Miguel, la banda se traslado para San Salvador debido a que sus miembros se mudaron para llevar a cabo sus estudios universitarios. En el año 2005 Eduardo formo parte de bandas como Everfar y Legacy, siendo esta ultima teloneros de Stratovarius y Helloween en el país. Tras la separación de legacy, Eduardo y Benjamin volvieron a reanudar el proyecto Analogy con una nueva tendencia; una tendencia de Power Speed Metal, con influencias como Angra, Stratovarius y demás. En 2007 Analogy debuta en su primer concierto como una banda de covers de power metal, y luego graban su primera cancion "Starlit Skies" la cual ha tenido muy buena aceptacion en la audiencia de segmentos radiales como "Zona Metal" y "Subterránica" en la Radio Femenina 102.5 FM. Formada en aquel entonces por Edgard Velasquez en las vocales, Ricardo Garcia en la bateria, Benjamin Lopez en el bajo, Eduardo Franco en la guitarra y Pablo Chavez en la seguna guitarra. Analogy sigue en proceso de terminacion de su demo con dos canciones disponibles en su pagina de Myspace www.myspace.com/analogyspeed "Starlit Skies" y "Tears of the Moon". Sus actuales miembros son Edgard Velasquez en las vocales, Benjamin Lopez en el bajo, Eduardo Franco en la guitarra, Arturo Santos en la bateria y Mauricio Lozano en la segunda guitarra; con un futuro en la escena metalera salvadoreña como una de las bandas de la nueva generacion del metal melodico.

Analogy was formed back in 2003 as a cover band playing songs from Iron Maiden to Metallica. It was formed by bass player Benja Lopez and guitar player Edu Franco. Back then it was only a garage band formed by school kids. A few years later the band was separated because the founders had to move to San Salvador; being a band resident from San Miguel, they had to leave town to pursue academic achievements. In 2005 Edu formed part of Everfar and Legacy later, being Legacy the opening band for international bands as Helloween and Stratovarius. It was after the split up of Legacy that Benja and Edu began talking again about reforming the band but with a diferent aproach; this time, they would have Analogy formed as a Power Metal Progresive/Speed Metal band with influences like Stratovarius, Angra, Dream Theater and more. In 2007 they debuted as a cover band; and after several months they released their first studio song called "Starlit Skies" which had a very good acceptance by the audience in radial spaces like "Zona Metal" and "Subterranica" at Radio Femenina 102.5 FM. Being their members at the time vocalist Edgard Velasquez, Edu Franco on Guitars, Pablo Chavez on Guitars, Benja Lopez on Bass, and Ricardo Garcia on Drums. Now they are releasing their first demo album, which includes the songs "Starlit Skies" and "Tears of the Moon" available in this page for streaming and download. Their actual members are Edgard Velasquez on vocals, Benja Lopez on Bass, Edu Franco on Guitars, Mauricio Lozano on Guitars and Arturo Santos on Drums. Having a bright future in the music scene, they are one of the bands of the new generation of Power Metal.
