Ana Mae is always late but will provide the band with tea, water, beer or maybe food on a good day. Hates being cold and lets everyone know it. She provides the Vocals, guitar and keyboards....and the songs (with a little bit of help from John)!
Norman (Darrell) is the one true Rock'n'Roll member. Enjoying his University life to the full at the moment-more drinking than working! Loves to Drum, Drink and.......Drum!!
JR is the organising wing of the band. The computer whizz kid's favourtie line has to be "Don't do it like that, do it like this for fuck sake!" When he is not driving about in his Mini he provides the band with some exquisite bass lines and backing vocals.....of course a lot more too!!
Influences
The Pretenders, Blondie, Sheryl Crow, Tina Turner, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Queen, The Beatles, Janis Joplin, Embrace, Oasis, Muse, Alanis Morissette.

Ana Mae releases new download single
"Hanging Around"
Following on from the release of “I Can’t Tolerate You” on Valentine’s day, Ana Mae releases new single “Hanging Around”. The brand new track will be available as a free download from 18th May 2009 from www.anamae.net.
Hanging Around is another up beat pop tune from the Lisburn songstress telling the tale of an unhappy girl, sick of hanging about the same old miserable town and finally deciding to do something about it!
“We’ve tried to progress our sound a bit more on this new single” says Ana, “My brother/bass player John produced it and I finally got to use my new black Telecaster on this track, it’s very Chrissie Hynde looking! I’m really happy with the way it turned out.”
Ana Mae and her band the 4.4.2s have gigged throughout the country, released a couple of low key EP’s at gigs and have been receiving great reviews wherever they play. Ana’s last single “I Can’t Tolerate You” was played by BBC Radio 1 NI, BBC Across The Line and BBC Electric Mainline. BBC ATL were so impressed they recorded and broadcast a live session with Ana and her band in March.
Brought up listening to her Dad’s Pretenders and Blondie albums Ana Mae is also often compared to Nina Persson from The Cardigans. She also names Annie Lennox, Kim Wilde and Sheryl Crow as major influences.
“Hanging Around” will be backed by an acoustic unplugged version of “Marry Me”. Please visit anamae.net for more information, gig listings, photos and contact info.

Quick question... I remember playing with you when you were with the 442's in Lavery's one night.
Am I right in thinking you had some awesome way of harmonising with yourself? Maybe I was just imagining it... but if you did I was always curious to know! Warren
