I write songs about exactly what I am feeling. I try to keep in as simple as possible. I have always been comforted by songs when I feel like the writer knows what I am going through, so that is what I aim to do when I write. I am in love with and inspired by any musician that writes truly personal and passionate songs, like Rachael Yamagata, Laura Marling, and Ray LaMontagne.
Besides music, I enjoy cupcakes, cappuccinos, old postcards, anthropology, "This Water," street markets, and hats.

Hey Ana, that'd be really good, I haven't played the open mic there but been there a few times, it has a good stage and PA and the people are really friendly. I just started ear training classes on Tuesdays till December though so Tuesdays are bad...How bout a sunday or wednesday....Have you been to the Spice of Life on the Monday (I haven't been there yet).

what beautiful music. i dig it very very much! rhode island seems like a very interesting place to write music. i have been to eastern sea board a couple times...always seems so wonderful and so full of history and memories...just would be cool to play music there. i'm sure folks think the same thing about the northwest...sometimes it's just good to chance your environment!
