"The English language, or any
language known to humankind, lacks the
verbose definition to describe one such
as [Ananda]. An enigma wrapped in a
mystery surrounded by a puzzle that's
buried in a crossword. Just when you
think you've solved everything you
discover that it's just another clue to
another something that needs figuring
out..." - Christian Fleming

"It should be noted that Ananda's name is
made up of two articles and a
conjunction (An-And-A)... However,
despite this atrocious abomination --
which threatens to destroy American life
as we know -- [Ananda] is truly one of
the coolest people alive. " - Bronwyn Banerdt

"Sometimes I think Ananda has her own
language... But once I figure out
what she's saying, I laugh because hey,
isn't she brilliant?" - Starlet Jacobs
A bit about Ananda: As a child in wooded Flagstaff, Arizona, Ananda often played in the dirt, made tree forts, or tended to her pet chickens, rabbits, rats, and donkey. She was quite fond of inventing games with her sisters and her best friend Sam. Her parents were always very resourceful and built the family's whole house themselves--not without the help of little Ananda and her sisters, of course. The Jacobs' also had a penchant for traveling, and in 1992 decided to fly, sail, train, and drive all around the world on a minuscule budget and steady diet of oatmeal and peanut butter sandwiches. Ananda was especially influenced by her time in India, Kenya, Japan, and England. She continued to cultivate a very personal relationship with sound and music throughout her adventures.
Upon the family's return to the United States, Ananda experienced many things. These included: settling in Bremerton, Washington, graduating high school with ridiculous honors that she never officially utilized, graduating college in similar fashion, playing the clarinet for several years, falling in love, consuming a lot of applesauce and Red Vines candy, and becoming a master of part-time work as a psychology researcher, math tutor, hair model, and, what else...oh yes, musician.
From 2004 to 2006, Ananda was the lead singer, keyboardist, lyricist, and co-writer for the L.A.-based band Satisfaction Wheel. The future promises continued collaboration with Chicago native Steve Anderson as one half of the duo Sobersleep.

In 2008 Ananda's "Alexander" was released on compilation album entitled my life in an insulation test by Japanese record label Electr-Ohm
Ananda has also begun collaboration with Eiichiro Suzuki (formerly of Hellchild) on a new Tokyo project.
She currently spends most of her time in Tokyo, working as a commercial and fashion model by day, and plotting musical and scientific progression at night.
