"The third time is a charm for Sacramento, California's An Angle. The Truth Is That You Are Alive explains new instrumentations (notably the string-driven, folky Red River) and dances through a variety of unexpected stylistic techniques, ranging from the hooky, bluesy tones of Falling In Your Arms to the hushed soaring beauty of closer You Are Loved. (Anaya) seems to know what he wants
and has successfully conveyed it." --Alternative Press
"Kris Anaya and friends seem to have finally struck firm ground with their third album. The key difference here is in the approach; Anaya just seems more grown up. The watery, self-absorbed meandering that characterized his earlier work has more or less evaporated, and the songs themselves are more confident, fully realized, and enjoyable." --All Music Guide
"Acoustic driven melodic rock at its best" --AMP
"Under Alcohol shows Kris (Anaya) growing as a master arranger, and the future cannot be brighter." --Jersey Beat
"The 5 Days 5 Songs EP is great. I am very proud of you honey." --Our Moms Links
So, uh, I bought this tiny guitar when I went to San Antonio, TX. When I got home I started fiddling around with it, and I ended up playing the first like, three notes of going to heaven, haha. So now I'm like basically making myself crazy trying to figure out the rest of the song, which, is harder figuring out than I thought.
Anyways, I wish you guys would go on tour again. :( You cancelled my date the last time you were scheduled to come, and I'm still pretty bummed about it.
I just recently, accidentally found you guys and can't wait to see you live. Y'all are a far cry from East Tennessee/Western North Carolina but I promise it will be worth it. If not for you definitely for me. Love the sound. Peace.
