Books
I absolutely love to read, read, read. I just finished Crossing the Rubicon by Michael C. Rupert. Amazing book. It's about the very likely possibility that the United States government was either complicit in or helped carry out the attacks on 9/11. Blasphemous? Google Operation North Woods, the government plan in the 1960s to shoot down commercial airliners and blame it on Cuba to enrage the American people into invading Cuba. Honestly, I'm not decided just yet, but it was a great read.
I just recently finished George Orwell's 1984, a classic that should not be missed. If you want to understand just how it is possible that Americans can vote a war criminal like Reagan as the "Greatest American" this is the book for you. Terms like Big Brother, newspeak, and a host of other phrases that have become a part of our common lexicon all can be found in this masterpiece by George Orwell.
Anything by Noam Chomsky. His latest book, Hegemony or Survival was powerful. If you really want to understand American foreign policy within a clear contextual framework, Noam Chomsky is your guy.
