i like to make believe.
i can't write a love song.
i'm always on the lookout for cloud animals.
i fall in love too easily.
i forget to blink and breathe.
i hold countdowns at crosswalks.
i don't look both ways.
i mistake satelites for stars.
i asked santa for the secret to life, and he gave me a barbie.
i'm eager to please.
i'm willing and able.
i get caught in the details.
***The song "Why" was written for a SASS contest, "Songs that make a difference". On May 8th 2006 it won first place and was preformed at the Hummingbird Center, downtown Toronto. Anastasia was given a 2000 dollar bursary prize, 1000 of which she donated to Amnesty International. Just a bit of song history.
Thanks Jamie Robinson for producing Mend and being the best guitar teacher ever.
Anastasia would also like to thank all her friends, family and fans in supporting her, coming to shows and listening regularly to her songs on myspace.
love.
This is my quick ‘you’ve been added’ note. Come on by for a comment or a message and I’ll gladly say a proper hello! If I take a little while to write back, it’s only because I want to make sure I have the time to really check out your profile.
Hello, I hope this message finds you well. Just so you know, your votes have helped already. We have been asked to play at the Media Launch party on Wed 2nd April as a result! So thanks for that!! :) If we win we'll throw a myspace party!
My dear Goddaughter, Music is in your genes from both sides, so it is no surprise that you have such a great talent (not to underestimate your own significant accomplishment, of course). I am so proud of you. Be well and stay in touch...and keep on writing songs that can make a difference in our world.
