Sounds Like
Sorta like the mid point between Factory Records 1981, Joe Meek if alive today and garage punk.
Hey, we're A Nation Mourns! In 1983 we formed in Reading. We went thru drummers faster than Spinal Tap before settling the wonderful Freezer behind the kit. We had lots of keyboard players too, but not at the same time - Mark Neal, Rod Main, Janet Winstone - take a bow. We played lots of gigs, including a couple with The Primitives in London. We got a review in the NME by that cheeky rascal Everett True. There were recordings - oh yes! We sent some of them off to people in Belgium and even got fan mail from 'The Low Countries'. If anyone has one of these records or cassette things with us on it from about 1984 it's very, very rare..... and worth nowt. We did a splendid track for a Reading compilation - it's called 'Somewhere In Black' but we can't play that fast any more. In 1987 we called it a day and went to the pub. We dabbled a bit in the early 90's, yes....dabbled. Then Mike, Dave and Pete formed the magnificent Electric Rembrandt, gigging in a hole near you until 1996. In 2003, 17 years after the last ANM gig, we were tempted out of the boozer to play a gig at The Bull and Gate, supporting Fractured. The place was rammed, we rocked hugely and in the spirit of 76, ran out of songs to play. Anyway to cut a long story short....it's 2008. We're back (again), there will be a single, gigs and world domination shortly. Watch this space!MySpace Layouts
