Anchor é uma banda brasileira, da cidade de Foz do Iguaçu no Paraná, formada em 2009 por cinco jovens na faixa dos 18/20 anos, que se propõem a fazer um som pesado e ao mesmo tempo melódico, buscando o melhor dos dois lados, o estilo mais próximo e relacionado seria o 'metalcore', que é a mistura de heavy metal com hardcore, mas sobretudo a banda está longe de querer se limitar a um só estilo e linha de som. Com seu primeiro EP recentemente lançado, em junho de 2009, intitulado 'Test Of Time', com poucos meses de banda o Anchor registra seu primeiro material, fazendo o lançamento totalmente independente, o disco contém 4 faixas inéditas e uma versão bônus, com esse material a banda é pretenciosa e planeja mostrar seu som ao máximo de lugares possível, com futuros shows já sendo marcados nas capitais brasileiras a banda vem ganhando espaço e reconhecimento, dando um passo de cada vez, muito bem calculado e sólido.

Anchor is a brazilian band, from the city of Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, formed on 2009 by five guys at the age of 18/20 years that propose themselves to do an heavy sound but at the same time melodic, looking for the best at both sides, their sound is most relationed to the genre 'metalcore', but those guys are far from standing up for just one soundline. With the first EP recently released, on june 2009, intitled 'Test Of Time', with just a few mounths of creation, Anchor consolidates his first material, making an total independent release, the disc comes with 4 songs and a *bonus track, with all this material, the band became pretentious and plans to show its sound to the most places as possible, with a lot of shows being firmed at brazilian capitals the band comes gaining some ground with a lot of good expectatives, step by step, their making everything very carefully and solidly.
