06/15/08 - Finally finished my logo... Took a long ass time, but it was worth it! I have studio time scheduled for July 25th, although I might make it earlier, and move it to late June. I'll be recording with professional session drummer Kennith Schalk, previously of Candiria, Ghosts Of The Canal, and other various progressive and jazz projects. This next recording is bound to blow your mind! Straight, raw, zombie-infested thrash!
05/20/08 - Good news, everyone! Got a lot of mixing work done today. Finished mixing One Bite, and it sounds better than ever. Lowered the drums a bit to bring out the rhythm guitars, and gave it a more resonant bass. Checkmate's done too, and Overworld is near completion. You can expect to see new masters up soon! Check back frequently!

Well, for starters, my name's Andrew Edward Raines II, I'm 18 years old (born March 23rd, in '90), and live in the heart of California's North Hollywood. I currently attend Grant High School. I'm of Filipino and White descent. I enjoy a wide variety of music, from thrash metal, to experimental jazz, to funk. I consider myself to be a very talented & experienced guitarist but I'm NO WHERE near being the best. I feel that every guitarist has his or her own style, and they are, and should forever be entitled to such. I encourage every type of musician, no matter what the genre.
- Yes, I write and record all of my songs on my own. I play all the Lead Guitars, Rhythm Guitars, Bass, and other instruments and do the drum programming as well. This can get kind of strenuous at times though, and I love being able to collaborate with other artists that are of open-mind, and have the love and will to write music. - Yes, all of my songs are recorded, mixed, and mastered at professional Paul Tavenner's studio, "Big City Recordings - Yes, I'm heavily inspired by Video Game compositions. Final Fantasy's Nobuo Uematsu in particular. - Yes, I created my logo. Although, a new 2008 version is comin' soon! Haha. - No, I am not a shred guitarist... Though I do enjoy shredding :) - Yes, I have two brothers: Roach, and Arisk. - And yes, I do agree with Rousseau over Hobbes.
A Little Bit About Anchored Cross: Anchored Cross is my Thrash Metal solo project, established in October 2006. I'm inspired by numerous artists, including Dave Mustaine, Marty Friedman, Alex Skolnick, Michael Romeo, Uli Jon Roth, K.K. Downing, etc. My passion lies in music, and it's just what I love to do best. I'm always striving to achieve a different, and distinct sound, and I think that over the years I have accomplished that.
