Ancient Ascendant's debut release. Self-released and funded. Recorded at Xerath studio over the course of 2 weeks in August 2008.
The 6 songs were written between 2003-2008.
Ancient Ascendant are a new breed of death metal band, combining old school sensibilities with melody and hooks which are often lacking in this brutal genre. We formed in 2005 in Reading, South England with the goal to create interesting, clear and progressive death metal to headbang to!
For the last four years we have been honing our sound through constant gigging across the country and producing The Heathen Throne EP, which is the first release from Ancient Ascendant (available online and at our gigs).
We’re currently working on a full length album, and will be gigging extensively this year, as always!
