Lead vocalist ANCIENT MYSTIC began writing and singing music at the age of thirteen. Over the years traveling from Hawaii to New York, and through Rocky mountains back to california and the north west, the original sounds of ANCIENT MYSTIC have evolved.
ANCIENT MYSTIC and the Real Far Band came together in the fall of 2004 in Santa Rosa, CA, the northern tip of the SF Bay Area. From the fall of 2004 and into the the early months of 2005, ANCIENT MYSTIC worked with the original band members to create the music they performed together for the very first time on March 11th, 2005.
Today the band consists of veteran percussionist Thomas, and their newest member, Kamesh a.k.a. "Earthquake", thumpin' the bass, and the cool, mellow tones of Paul on guitar. Together the Real Far Band continues creating the sounds that send the heart felt vibrations of Reggae music to all the peoples. Focusing on a rebel lifestyle with a positive message of love for humanity and the Natural Way, ANCIENT MYSTIC IS ARISING. This Reggae Roots music has found the unique revolutionaries of the time and continues to bless the people of the Raggamuffin culture with classic numbers like Runnin' The Show, Raggamuffin Souljah, and Close Your Eyes, just to name a few.
With the support of the People, down the rude and rugged road the band has successfully continued to move through the stages of an evolving independent project.
