"the band was born in 1998 under the name of "ASGARD" at Medellín - Colombia. founded by IVÁN JARAMILLO, on guitars and vocals and drums... Influenced by the most brutal and sick bands over the land. At the beginning of 2001 the band took a recess, in the middle of the year, IVAN JARAMILLO changes the name to "ANCIENT NECROPSY", And Recorded the demo, "DEMONSTRATION OF MADNESS AND HATE", and having good comments by the Colombian scene, at June of 2003 the band edit the debut cd "ANCIENT NECROPSY". released by the cz republic labels nice to eat you records & mutilated records, this album was launched by our dealers in Europe and Usa.

In June of 2004 Ancient Necropsy had the tour "SOUTH AMERICAN STORM GRIND TOUR 2004" having 26 killer shows.
on September of 2004, IVAN JARAMILLO enter to the "I A J sound labs studios" again, and recorded the second full length cd , Deformed King..s Mummification, released by the new york..s (usa) label Goregiastic Records. this album has been recognized as one of the most intricated albums and one of the best recordings of 2004 by many web sites and zines. this album was spread for the entire planet and filling the expectations of our killer fans.

On august of 2005 is recorded the best structural album titled "Apocalyptic Empire". being released at cz republic by Mutilated Records on august of 2007
on november of 2007 a new drummer join to ancient necropsy, david montoya... we are composing new killer tracks for the future album that will named sanctuary beyond the infinite...for 2009
