"Moonlight freezes the shaggy world Like a mammoth of ice - The past and the future Are the jaws of a steel vice. But the cod is in the tide-rip Like a key in a purse. The deer are on the bare-blown hill Like smiles on a nurse. The flies are behind the plaster Like the lost score of a jig. Sparrows are in the ivy-clump Like money in a pig.
Such a frost The flimsy moon Has lost her wits.
A star falls.
The sweating farmers Turn in their sleep Like oxen on spits."
Thank you so much for your acceptance and your beautiful music. I'm a fan since the beginning. I saw your concert in Lausanne on the night of the 24 october 1988 ! Keep on doing those beautiful songs.
Hi, In remembrance of the show in Toulouse, here is a nice review by Sylvain Nicolino with beautiful photos by Mirabelle Lagache: http://www.obskure.com/fr/reportconcert.php?id=119 We are already longing for the coming record....
hey guys, thank you again for your show in Nantes last thursday. As i've said to your guitarist (Justin ?), i didn't know your music before coming, but the tunes on your player and a few minutes of others heard on La Blogothèque. I've lived that evening one of the very best concerts i've attended to this year.
Your hardcore fans may have been surprised by this acoustic show. As for me, i was totally haunted by your interpretations (of all of you, not only your singer); you were invested , and your music so involving.
I don't know if you made mistakes (in fact didn't mind/care, because i had the chance to be here, that was the only important thing at that moment, possible mistakes didn't matter ), or if you've been satisfied by the show. Despite being exhausted that day, and because of this, difficult to deeply concern, I've travelled a lot in your universe all along the set. I would like to thank your for having taken me at the throat - and the heart - like this with these atmospheres you've made emerging. I've seen/thought about many great performers /myths (as if they were haunting the scene behind and around you, somehow appreciating in a benevolent way how you were performing ) during the set; drawing up an exhausting list would be improper :) But spirits of Jim Morrison, Jimmy Hendrix, Lou Reed, Leonard Cohen, Jacques Brel, Neil Young took care on you that night ...
If you come back again, wether for an acoustic or a plugged set, i'll be there !
So weird that I have remained ignoring you for so long. But it's such a pleasure to discover your wold as if you were a new emerging band. Thank you really much for this beautiful music.
Thank you SO much for this amazing concert in Toulouse, my hands were almost hurting at the end of the concert because of applauding too much. such a mesmerizing, magical, nostalgic, beautiful and elegant music and world you have shown us through all these years. Thank you. I hope you will come to Toulouse again, I'll be there!
Ps: Except the annoying vodka smelling punk (thinking he had to be a drum machine during an accoustic show !) who sat by me for more than 1 hour, everything was perfect. Such a great great evening.
