"Anderson-Gram is a wonderful husband and wife duo from Hampton, NH (now living in Roseville, CA) who play a delightfully easy going blend of folk, country and bluegrass.
Gayle has a fine folk voice, strong, honest, and a little bit sweet. Bob provides nicely understated baritone harmonies. He can also take a turn at lead vocals and he has a rugged smoky quality that fits well on the songs he sings.
So, we've got two strong singers that work well together and a relaxed, entertaining musical style. Now the only question is how good are the songs. Well, they're pretty darn good too...all of them are nicely constructed clear pictures of everyday life. I especially like ‘Thirteen Forever’ and its reminiscences of childhood and ‘This Guitar’ about life on the road.
Gayle Anderson-Gram and Bob Gram have been playing together since 1992. They have been married since 1997. It shows. Everything fits so well together.” ~Jam Music Magazine
Myspace Backgrounds “This down-home appealing wife-husband duo have the friendly feel of Reilly and Maloney and Kate Wolf as well as the somber melodicism of Linda Thompson. Gayle Anderson-Gram’s mezzo soprano is resonant and appealing. Bob Gram provides wonderful harmony on many of these songs but solos with a rich baritone.”

“Gayle and Bob are winners ...beautifully crafted melodies, supported by strong harmony and tight arrangements with lyrics that stand by themselves."
~ Roger Ebacher, REBACH MUSIC RECORDING, Newburyport, MA
“While their music is soothing and smooth as silk, the underlying explosives make for a dynamic experience; rich, fulfilling and generously endowed with sparkle and personality.”
~ Jeanine Schiavoni, Merrimack Valley Progressive, Haverhill, MA
"Just think of a cool, refreshing, New England breeze and that is Anderson-Gram."
~ Dick Cerri, President, World Folk Music Association, Washington, D.C.
"These guys just blew us away with great musicianship, rapport with the audience and songs that you wish you had written yourself." ~ David Fishken, Fishken & Groves, Acton, MA
"Great songs, great sound and a very healthy sense of humor." ~ Curt Bessette, Outer Green Records, York, ME

"Well, you two are really something! I'm playing the CD (Where It All Begins) I bought last night and I'm heaven-bound. It's wonderful. I keep thinking, this is my favorite song - and then you go and do another one just as good. Did you say you have another CD out? If so, I want to buy a copy of it also. You have a new fan." J. Ford, Stockton, CA

Review - Where It All Begins
“I love finding new music by new artists. Before opening this CD I had never heard of Anderson-Gram. This, the duo's second release, is the pick of the latest crop of CDs.
Where It All Begins caught me from track one and I must admit that while some songs are better than others there was not a single piece that I did not like.
Anderson-Gram reminds me on some tracks of Ian and Sylvia Tyson. ‘Alabama’ is a song where the ‘Tyson sound’ is most noticeable. The song is a hymn to that location and love found there. It’s beautifully written and sung with lines like ‘A little smile, a little tear in his eye/A little love song, sung off key.’
‘This Guitar’ is a tribute to the life of the traveling musician with the initial chorus written from directions given on how to find their next gig.
‘Three Chords & a Cloud of Dust’ is a witty look at the other side of the musician's life. It recounts the tale of the performer playing for tips in a bar, competing with the game on the TV in the corner. How many of those are out there? It contains the immortal lines: ‘He even wrote a song in the summer of 69, though it makes no sense and it's too damn long, God only knows what we were on, still I shout it out every time.’
‘One Dying Breed’ poetically tells the sad tale of the demise of the fishing industry.
Other tracks tackle people who do not fit in, sports heroes with feet of clay and fighting the demons of modern life among others.
The only song by another writer is Kate Wolf’s ‘Give Yourself to Love’ and is a real gem. This is a very personal album but deserves a wide listenership.
Where It All Begins is a fabulous album which, with a spark of luck and good airplay, could be where it all begins big time for Anderson-Gram” ~ Nicky Rossiter, Rambles Cultural Arts Magazine
Review - Watercolors
"We brought back 102 CD's from the Toronto Folk Alliance Convention. We have listened to every one of them completely, and if I could keep only one it would be Watercolors. If this sounds like I am raving then I guess I am. The vocals are WONDERFUL! The guitar is WONDERFUL. The harmonies are quite simply BREATHTAKING as is the entire album. Your songwriting (and this comes from someone who writes) is most appealing. I just can't say enough about this CD." ~Julie Anne Clark, All Music Guide
"A highly recommended home-grown recording."

HAPPY 11TH ANNIVERSARY!! I love you guys! Can't wait to see the next gig. We're going to shoot for July 4th for some wood fired pizza and great Anderson-Gram music! :-)
You were in rare form at Sartory last night Wish we could have stayed later, but you know us old folks (lol) btw, thanks for the number you dedicated to me -- it is little things like that (and having friends like you guys) that keeps me going -- you guys bring a lot of happiness into our lives (and your incredible voices and performances just add to that). Thank you!!!!
Thanks Much for the friendship here and in the real world. Really enjoyed meeting the two of you and getting to hear you live at Artichoke! Very Talented!
Looking forward to the next conference. But hope to see you before then.
You are too kind. Of course I will be there two nights in a row since the following night my favorite band (excluding the Beatles) will be playing the same venue.
Additionally, on Saturday 7/14 I will be following Anderson Gram at the coffee shop art gallery at the Street Fair on Del Paso Blvd. My act starts at about noon.
