I like this poem. It was curious to me cause the same day i put up a song about a 'maid' whose life is spared you put up a poem about a maid who is deathly.
I have one here for you by a fellow i discovered through Carson, though most would consider him to be the greater of the two. His name's Paul Celan
CORONA Autumn eats its leaf out of my hand: we are friends From the nuts we shell time and we teach it to walk: then time returns to the shell.
In the mirror it's Sunday, in dream there is room for sleeping, our mouths speak the truth.
Me eye moves down to the sex of my loved one: we look at each other, we exchange dark words, we love each other like poppy and recollection, we sleep like wine in the conches, like the sea in the moon's blood ray.
We stand by the window, embracing and people look up from the street: it is time they knew! It is time the stone made an effort to flower, time unrest had a beating heart. It is time it were time.
What carson have you read? I've got a tattoo from a part in her autobiography of red. i'm really mad for that woman. I'll pick up the dresden dolls album.
Here's a Carson poem i adore:
GOD'S LIST OF LIQUIDS
It was a November night of wind. Leaves tore past the window. God had the book of life open at PLEASURE
and was holding the pages down with one hand because of the wind from the door. FOR I MADE THEIR FLESH AS A SEIVE
wrote God at the top of the page and then listed in order: Alcohol Blood Gratitude Memory Semon Song Tears Time.
Greetings! Thanks for being our friend. Hope you check out our music, and listen to it sometime. Thanks again and have a good day. Peace be with you friend!
