I actually use standard and scalloped 6-string guitars, and a 5-string fretless and 4-string fretted bass guitars. I can sing also in growl (though I prefer the approach of traditional singing).
I chose to be the "Dark Matter Guitar" since the arrangements of my own compositions focus on destabilizing the listener, by giving a feeling of "something strange" going on. Something obscure, disquieting, odd, maybe grotesque.
In the role of session musician, on the other hand, I can range from Rock to Metal in total loyalty to the original compositions, mostly as a bassist.
Comments on the tracklist:
- "Ravintola, Kiitos" is a rather acid track, the sample of a more articulated project with Mattia Garimanno. My fretless Jaco features the rhythm in the main theme and makes a short solo, my guitar accompanies with some dissonances a drum pattern in 7/8 by Mattia. Then phrygean scales go arabic.
- "Mary PoMpins" was originally an interpretation for bass of the famous theme "Chim Chim Cher-Ee" from the movie "Mary Poppins". Hadron Dream sent me the bass lines and I added some guitars. The overall result is kind of molest.
- "Arabic scales are fun" was the intro for ThE Physicists' gigs. Cyber sounds as the background for a sort of modal progression on tetratonic (arabic) scales. "High Frequency" was then played next.
- "High Frequency" is taken from the second demo by ThE PhysicistS, a mixture of Techno and Metal. I play some Rammstein-oriented rhythms, and the solos are based on lydian and aeolian scales. Vocals by McOmega0.
- "The Fanatic" comes from the same demo. Heavy rhythmic patterns and polyrhythms guide the listener through fanatism and madness, with the help of chromatic scales and some usual dissonances. Vocals by McOmega0.

Norwegian act, formed around 1991. Forerunners of the black metal genre and Scandinavian 'viking' metal trend. Progressive, technical, no-nonsense black metal band hailed as one of the best.
I started playing the electric guitar in September 1994, and I am completely self taught. However, through the years I have studied some musical theory when needed, and of course the process is still going on. Through the years, I have played in dozens of bands, ranging from Black Metal to Thrash, Technical Death, Heavy Metal and Rock. I have recently started to play also the bass, both fretted and fretless. My live performances in Helsinki have been lately based on this instrument. I have a good experience in writing and arranging own material and cover songs.
I believe that music is a whole entity, and that restrictions can strongly limit creativity. Accordingly, I am open to play any genre of music and to improve my skills day by day.
For these reasons, I am gradually shifting my interest towards avant-garde music (in a broad sense).

Dark Matter is a mysterious ensemble of particles, which fills the universe and accelerates its expansion. It cannot be detected directly, but we are reasonably sure that it exists, because we measure its indirect, gravitational effects. A cosmological stalker.
