She is focused, sweet, talented, and stunning. The moment this
lady hits the stage; the music that escapes her lips is pure, soulful, and inspiring, one can't help but be captivated by her funky
down-to earth soul. She is a singer, songwriter, artist and model; and an aspiring star to watch out for.
At a young age, she began performing on stage, dancing and singing at her local school and church choir. Realizing her talent
on the advice of others entered various local music competitions. This would lead her to write her first song at the age of 13. "In
elementary school I got turned down by this boy I had a crush on and I felt devastated, so I just cried and wrote about it."
As years went by, Andrea would continue to grow musically and sing hooks for other local talents. In 2001, she got her big
public break by wooing us as one of the members of the platinum-selling, Juno-nominated group Sugar Jones; the group toured
the UK, Canada and was an opening act for Destiny's Child, Nelly and Eve as a part of MTV’s TRL tour.
Andrea was known for her distinct silky smooth lead vocals on two of Canada’s biggest singles “Days Like That” which topped
the Canadian Singles Chart on May 19th 2001, where it remained for six weeks. “How Much Longer” Sugar Jones broke into
the charts at No. 2, selling 19,308 copies in their 1st week
After the group disbanded in 2003 she continued mesmerizing fans with her down to earth style. Having completed her post
secondary studies in the Arts, she attempts to paint visual pictures with her music. “I had music around me all the time; my dad
would play the Oldies and Caribbean records in the basement." She is inspired by the sounds of calypso, soca, reggae, hip hop,
soul and classic rock.
Andrea had the opportunity to work with great artists such as Haydain Neale from Jacksoul, collaborations Subliminal "Simple
Things," Subliminal Mix Vol 1, Guney Cedano’s remake of "Turn Your Lights Down Low" Music from the Heart. Andrea is an
active member of the community working with many organizations such as Ladies 4 Life and corporate events motivating
teenage youths. Her most recent project inspired her to write the beautiful song “One Voice.” The song created for the Change
the World movement organization, founded by Johnnie Williams and former NBA player Jerome “Junk Yard Dog” Williams.
She has dazzled audiences with her beauty at many public events such as the World Cycling Championships, and the World
Creole Festival Dominica (West Indies). She has opened up for some stellar acts like the Legendary Platters, the Satellites, Jeff
Healey, and the Caribbean King David Rudder. This multi-faceted female is also a visual artist. In 2004 her work was used as
the backdrop in the play "After All" during the Toronto Rock, Paper, Sistahz Festival, and on a recent trip to Bahamas she
released a hit single "Turn Da Tables" Reggae/ R&B track on one of the islands hit radio stations creating a much deserved buzz.
Recently, she formed a band called Crystal Soul; an eclectic mix of R&B, world soul mixed with deep lyrics nestled in a bed of
cool grooves.
Collaborating with a team of talented individuals aiming for her success, she is set to release her solo album summer 2008.
